What changed
- Removed an unused 90KB icon library.
- Deferred analytics and chat widget loading until interaction.
- Converted hero images to AVIF with fallback.
- Inlined critical CSS for above-the-fold content.
Result
Every primary marketing page is now above 95 Lighthouse perf on mobile and 99 on desktop. We will hold this line as we add features — the perf budget is enforced in CI.
Caveat
Lighthouse scores are a signal, not the goal. Real user metrics (LCP, INP) are what we actually optimize for. The two correlate but they are not the same thing.
